Isabel Lucas Biography and Facts

Isabel Lucas is best known for her role playing Tasha Andrews in the television series Home and Away between 2003 and 2006 (57 episodes) and as Alice in the 2009 movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. She has also acted in other movies that are still to be released, including Daybreakers and the TV mini-series The Pacific.

Isabel Lucas was born in Melbourne, Australia, on 29 January 1985 to a Swiss mother and Australian father. Isabel and her family briefly moved to Switzerland while she was in Year 1 at school before returning back to Melbourne. Isabel and her family lived in Kakadu National Park for a year, and later moved to Queensland.

Isabel attended high school at St Monica's College in Cairns, Australia (in North Queensland) and later studied drama at the Victorian College of Arts and the Queensland University of Technology.

At age 17, while at a Port Douglas market, she was spotted by Sydney-based agent Sharron Meissner and was offered to audition for the role of Kit Hunter in Home and Away. The then producer of series, Julie McGauran, felt that Isabel was not right for the role but was so impressed by her performance that she instead created a new character, Tasha Andrews, especially for her.

In early 2008 Isabel moved to Los Angeles. Whenever she returns to Australia, Isabel lives in Melbourne.

Isabel is actively involved in various environmental awareness and global community initiatives, including supporting various organisations and charities.

In 2004 Isabel Lucas won a Logie for Most Popular New Female Talent in Home and Away.
